About Ombre Powder Brows
Ombre Powder Brows is a permanent makeup procedure that Is meant to create a powdery makeup look on the brows. There are no hair strokes and are best for clients that want a fuller bold brow. This is NOT the same technique as a solid “black tattoo” eyebrow.
Before Your Ombre Powder Brow Appointment
Ombre Powder results create amazing looking eyebrows, this procedure is suitable for ALL skin types. To prevent any complications relating to your overall well-being, please review the requirements and contraindications below.
Proper preparation for your brow appointment will also help to achieve the best possible healed results, so be sure to prepare accordingly. Appointments typically last 2 hours. Please come to an appointment wearing your makeup as you normally do. By doing so, it helps in communicating the desired color preference of your eyebrows or with images of how you would like your brows to be shaped.
REQUIREMENTS BEFORE POWDER BROW APPOINTMENT
No alcohol or caffeine 24 hrs before procedure
No filler treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure
No chemical peels 60 days before or after procedure (brows will peel quicker due to chemicals traveling under the skin)
No anti-aging/acne creams, or serums containing acids as these will fade brows prematurely
Do not work out or sweat heavily the day of the procedure (Or 2 weeks after)
Do not tan or have a sunburned face the day of the procedure
No waxing or tinting 3 days before procedure
Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil and ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure
OMBRE POWDER BROW AFTERCARE
Permament makeup procedures by Beauty Babe Club makes the creation of perfect eyebrows possible, but to ensure that you get the naturally beautiful looking brows you want, following the aftercare Instructions is essential. DO NOT expect your brow tattoos to heal perfectly after the first session. This is a 2-step process. It takes time. Please BE PATIENT during your 10-day healing process your brows will change and appear different from day to day.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SCARRING, INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.
DAYS 1-7:
Absorb, Wash, Moisturize!
The day of the treatment: Absorb
Gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5-minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph.
Days 1-7: Wash
Wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin. (Don’t worry!!! THIS DOES NOT REMOVE THE PIGMENT!)
Gently wash your eyebrows each morning and night with water and an antibacterial mild soap. With a very light touch, use your fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows. Rub the area in a smooth motion for 10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.
Days 1-7: Moisturize
Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on a wet or damp tattoo.
Avoid using any cleansing products that contain exfoliants or acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA).
Use a clean finger to apply a small amount of the aftercare ointment to the tattooed area. Do not apply the ointment unless the area is dry.
Less is more when considering how much ointment to apply; the amount applied to each eyebrow should be comparable in size to half of a grain of rice.
Aftercare ointment should only be applied twice per day.
DAYS 8-14:
The aftercare ointment no longer needs to be applied, but gently wash the tattooed area each morning and night with a mild cleansing soap.
