Eat More Plants
Choose predominantly whole, plant-based foods that are rich in fiber and nutrient dense. Vegetables, fruit, beans, lentils, whole grains, nuts and seeds.

Move Often
Regular and consistent physical activity that can be maintained on a daily basis throughout life– walking, gardening, push ups and lunges – is an essential piece of the optimal health equation.

Stress Less
Stress can improve our performance – or it can lead to issues like anxiety, depression, and a weakened immune system.
Recognizing high stress and finding ways to reduce stress can lead to improved wellbeing.

Avoid Risky Substances
Addictive substance use can increase risk for many cancers and heart disease. Positive behaviors that improve health include cessation of tobacco use and limiting the intake of alcohol.

Get Better Sleep
Inadequate sleep - both poor quantity or quality - can lead to a strained immune system. Identifying dietary, environmental and coping behaviors can improve sleep health.

Love More
Social connection is essential to emotional resiliency. Studies show that isolation is associated with increased mortality. For the best holistic health, growing healthy relationships is key.

I’ve been curious about plant-based eating for some time now, but have felt like convincing my family to make the switch was too lofty of a task. Dr.Qadira’s SnackRx class has totally shifted my approach to what I’m reaching for at snack time and made healthier eating feel more doable! The recipes shared include stuff my family actually already likes to eat (which is a huge plus!). Totally recommend this course for anyone on the fence and needing a little support getting there!
SnackRx is awesome - I am a mom of three kids at three different ages and stages with very different taste buds. I love the format of the course and having new, easy, kid-friendly, super delicious recipes to go to that I can prepare with my kids is such a relief and so much fun!
When Dr. Qadira shares her wisdom, she makes information very tangible. She shared information very enthusiastically so that the audience felt more enthusiastic about making the healthy changes that she was recommending.
Dr. Huff is a wonderful speaker with a very engaging and approachable manner. She is extremely knowledgeable and does an excellent job at explaining concepts about nutrition as they relate to health. She also makes it a point to take the relaxed approach of meeting people where they are, which makes her even more inspiring!
We called on Sprouting Wellness to participate in the food insecurities portion of a training centered around building an Anti-Racist organization within the food industry and Dr. Huff took our vision and brought it to light & life! The presentation was captivating, thought-provoking and left the participants wanting to learn more about Sprouting Wellness as an organization! The content, training and experience was wonderful and we cannot wait to use their services again!
