This all led to my home looking as you see it below.

And so, of course, I was completely overwhelmed by my home... the very place that was supposed to be a sanctuary for me and my family!

• Every space was filled and there was absolutely no room to breathe and enjoy life.   
• Cabinets were stuffed. 
• Drawers could barely open. 
• Flat surfaces were piled with papers, forgotten projects and rarely used appliances.
• I didn't even know what I had let alone where to find it. 
• I spent many frustrating hours searching for the things I actually needed (i.e. I once spent 3 days looking for our passports!).
• I was at the end of my pitiful rope and knew something needed to change.

HOW DID I DO IT?

 I've taken a year to sit down and figure out everything that I learned throughout this process of decluttering my home.

I thought of everything I went through such as:

• The mindset shifts that had to happen
• The emotions that kept coming up that were keeping me stuck (and how I dealt with them)
• Why my sentimental items needed to be the LAST things I went through
• The most efficient and effective ways to approach a space
• How I've managed to maintain a clutter-free home and not fall back into my old ways
